Based in West Cork, we are a team of licensed veterinarians, who understand that travelling to a clinic when a pet is unwell and coming towards the end of life, can be very upsetting for both you and your pet.
Making the decision to say goodbye to a companion animal is an immensely difficult and personal choice. When that time comes, we offer home visits — including evenings and weekends — ensuring your pet’s final moments are spent in the familiar comfort and security of their own home.
Our role is to support you through the process with clinical expertise, sensitivity and respect. We can provide clear guidance on when euthanasia may be appropriate, for example some signs may include; inability to eat or drink, loss of interest in activities and chronic pain.
If euthanasia is determined to be the best course of action, your pet will first receive a light sedative to help them feel calm and drowsy, gently drifting off to sleep before the final injection is administered. The entire procedure is peaceful, free from pain, and handled with the utmost care and dignity.
If desired, we can also coordinate aftercare, including transport to the crematorium and cremation options. Our aim is to relieve as much of the practical and emotional burden as possible, allowing you to focus on honouring your pet’s life and memory.
